Bob Huggins was Ohio’s 1972 Player of the Year at Indian Valley South High School. He played college basketball at West Virginia University before embarking on a collegiate coaching career. He coached at Walsh College (1980-83) and Akron University (1984-89) prior to a 16-year run at the University of Cincinnati (1989-2005) where the Bearcats reached the Final Four in 1992. His UC teams had a 399-127 record for a .759 winning percentage. Huggins moved to Kansas State for the 2006-07 season and returned to his alma mater, West Virginia, in 2007-08. His teams have have made 15 NCAA Tournament appearances and won 13 regular season conference titles. Twenty of his teams had 20 or more victories and 12 of his players were selected in the NBA draft.
