Following outstanding careers at Xenia High School and Ohio Wesleyan University, Barry Clemens played 11 years in the National Basketball Association. He ended his career at Ohio Wesleyan as the all-time leading scorer at OWU and the Ohio Athletic Conference. In four years he scored 1,905 points and grabbed 1,230 rebounds. Averaging 23 points and 14.7 rebounds as a senior, he won the OAC’s most valuable player award. Known for his excellent outside shooting, the 6-foot-6 forward was drafted by the New York Knicks in 1965. After one season in New York, he played for Chicago (1966-69), Seattle (1969-72), Cleveland (1972-74) and Portland (1974-76) before retiring with career totals of 5,316 points and 2,526 rebounds. Appearing in 790 games, he averaged 15.9 minutes and 6.7 points. His highest point average was 9.3 points for Chicago in 1967-68.
