She led the league in scoring three times and is still the MAC all-time leading scorer (male or female) with 2,509 points.  Knuth was a four-year starter for the Rockets, who during her career had a 101-23 record and a 60-10 record in the MAC. She led Toledo to four post-season appearances (three NCAA, one NIT) and three MAC championships.  She was a versatile player who finished her career as Toledo’s all-time leader in steals, field goals, scoring average and total points. She was an outstanding free throw shooter who once made 16 of 16 in a game.  She averaged 13.2 points as a 5-9 freshman, 20.4 as a 5-10 sophomore, 22 points and 6.9 rebounds as a 5-11 junior and 25.4 points and 6.7 rebounds as a 5-11 senior.  Knuth-Klaer was the first Rocket women’s basketball player to have her #52 jersey retired and hung from the rafters of Savage Hall, and the second overall.  She was inducted into UT’s Varsity “T” Hall of Fame in 2005.
