Walsh University women

Walsh (30-5) became the first unseeded team to win an NAIA National Championship when it came from behind to defeat Mary Hardin-Baylor, 73-66, in the Division II title game at Sioux City, Iowa. Misty McMillan led the Cavs with 22 points, including 19 in the second half. Brittany Harmon contributed 16 points and 13 rebounds. First-year head coach Karl Smesko was named NAIA coach of the year.
