The Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame (OBHOF) is proud to announce the 2026 Induction Class, honoring fourteen exceptional individuals and three teams who have made indelible contributions to Ohio basketball history. The Enshrinement Ceremony will take place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at the Hilton Polaris, located at 8700 Lyra Drive, Columbus, Ohio.
It is with deep sadness that the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame announces the passing of James Eugene "Gene" Millard, a 2011 inductee and founding member of our Board of Trustees. Gene passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025, in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by his devoted family. His remarkable career and contributions to Ohio basketball have left an indelible mark on our community and the sport we love.
This January, we celebrate a special milestone as our beloved co-founder, Doc Daugherty, turns 94. Doc, along with his friend Don Henderson, had a dream of creating a place to honor Ohio's greatest basketball legends and pioneers has grown into the vibrant Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame we know today.
