Cindy Noble Hauserman grew up in Clarksburg, Ohio, the youngest of four children. She graduated from Adena High School in 1977 where they won two state volleyball titles, one state basketball title, and one state track title. Cindy was named the first Female Athlete of the Year in 1977 and a High School All-American. She attended Ohio State University for one year and then transferred to the University of Tennessee. From 1978-1981 she helped post a 88-22 mark over three years of basketball at Tennessee. In 1981 Cindy was a Wade Trophy Finalist and a Kodak All-American. She played professionally in Italy for one year and two years in Japan. In 1980 and 1984 she was a Gold Medal winner on the USA Olympic Basketball Team.
Cindy was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2000 and in 2002 was inducted into the second Class of the Lady Vol Hall of Fame. She had coaching stints at University of Kentucky (four years as assistant head coach), six years as head coach at Centre College, Kentucky, coach and teacher at Chillicothe High School (four years) and also four years at Westfall High School. She and her husband Mark have two sons, Logan and Trevor.
