Playing for Olmsted Falls High School from 1978-82, Joanne Ineman Fossen was one of the finest female scorers ever seen in the Buckeye state. In 92 games over four years, she averaged 32.5 points. She had the second highest point total (2,988) in Ohio prep history.  In February of 1982, Ineman scored a state-record 74 points against Medina Buckeye. Playing for teams that compiled an 84-9 record, Ineman scored more than 50 points five times and exceeded 40 points 31 times. As a senior in 1981-82, she averaged 45.6 points per game. She made first team, All-Ohio four straight years and was Ohio Player of the Year twice.  The 5-foot-8 guard played college basketball for one year at Arizona and two years at Louisiana State University, averaging 10 points per game as a senior.  She returned to Olmsted Falls High School as its coach in 1997 and had a four-year record of 72-14. Her team won its league championship three years and was undefeated in league play for a record 40 games.
