Craig Taylor has some fine basketball credentials. He was 1972 Ohio Class AAA Player of the Year at Springfield North High School where he played for Coach Don Henderson, co-founder of the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame. He was the leading scorer and Most Valuable Player at Ohio State University in 1976. He led the Buckeyes in rebounding in both his junior and senior years. Later he was a radio announcer for OSU basketball games.

However, Taylor is being honored not for his prep and collegiate careers but his contributions to the Ohio Basketball Hall of Fame. He was one of those who founded the organization in 2006 and has served on the Executive Board and Board of Trustees ever since.

As president and owner of the Vectra corporation, he helped the OBHOF get off the ground by making significant contributions of business materials for several years, saving the organization thousands of dollars.
