Lauren Prochaska

Lauren Prochaska was an impact player at Jonathan Alder High School in Plain City before becoming one of Bowling Green State University’s top female basketball players in school history.

While at Alder, she scored 2,695 career points (sixth in state history) and averaged no fewer than 23 points per game throughout her high school career, including 32.3 points per game her senior season. Prochaska hit 26 consecutive free throws and holds the state record for both career free throws made (841), and free throws made in a season (263). She was named Division III Player of the Year in back-to-back seasons, 2006 Division III State Tournament MVP, and helped her team win that year’s Division III state championship.

Prochaska defined an incredible legacy at Bowling Green State University from 2007-11. The school's career leader in free throws made (626), free-throw percentage (90.6), three-point field goals made (310), and consecutive games started (135), she tied the school record for field-goal attempts (1,637) and ended up second in field goals made (677). A scoring leader (2,290 points), she graduated ranked second in MAC history in three-pointers made and third on the conference list in career scoring.

Named to the All-MAC First Team for the third-straight season her senior year, she also was named the MAC Tournament's MVP for the second-straight year and MAC Player of the Week a school-record 12 times! Today Prochaska holds an NCAA Division I record of 70 consecutive free-throws made.
