Scott Rogers

Scott Rogers built an exceptional basketball legacy both on and off the court, excelling as a dominant player before becoming one of Ohio's most successful high school coaches.

Rogers starred at Indian Hill High School in Cincinnati, scoring 786 points over two varsity seasons, earning EHL MVP honors twice (1975, 1976), and second-team All-State recognition in 1976. At Kenyon College, he became a scoring machine, amassing 2,149 career points with a 23.6 points-per-game average. He led the nation in scoring in 1978 -79 with 28.6 points per game. The third all-time leading scorer in Kenyon history, Rogers earned two-time First Team All-American honors (1979, 1980), three consecutive First Team All-OAC selections (1978-1980), and three straight OAC scoring titles. He was twice named OAC MVP and received an invitation to the 1980 U.S. Olympic Team tryouts before being drafted by the NBA's Indiana Pacers.

Rogers earned the 2017 USA Today Ohio Coach of the Year, eight-time Greater Cincinnati Coach of the Year honors, and two-time Ohio AP Coach of the Year recognition. In 2020, he was a finalist for the Women’s Basketball Naismith National Coach of the Year.
