Division I State Champions

Sparked by Parade magazine All-Americans Na’Sheeman Hillmon and Malikah Willis and sensational freshman Semeka Randall, Trinity won the Division I championship by upsetting the nation’s No. 1-ranked Pickerington, 59-54, thus ending Pickerington’s 74-game winning string. Willis transferred to Trinity from powerful Christ The King High School in New York City.  Outscoring its opponents by an average of 50.1 points per game, Trinity (26-2) went undefeated in the North Coast League for the seventh straight year and extended its NCL winning string to 76 games.  The Lady Trojans hit the century mark seven times during the season, including twice in the playoffs. Trinity crushed Chanel, 116-23. Street and Smith Prep Basketball magazine ranked Trinity 3rd in its “Top 20 National Teams.”
